Charles Finkelstein Endorsed for Civil Judge by NYS Court Officers Association

The New York State Court Officers Association has announced its endorsement of Charles Finkelstein for Brooklyn Civil Court Judge. The announcement came from Dennis W. Quirk, president of the NYS Court Officers Association.

The NYS Court Officers Association, which represents 1500 active members, is an employee organization under the Public Employees' Fair Employment Act. For the past several decades the association has served as the exclusive bargaining representative for collective negotiations on behalf of non-judicial employees of the State of New York Unified Court System, within the City of New York. The organization’s endorsement of Charles Finkelstein is significant inasmuch as it places Finkelstein in the unique role of being recognized for his outstanding qualifications.

Finkelstein was a felony prosecutor in the Brooklyn D.A.’s office and an assistant special narcotics prosecutor in Manhattan. He is currently in private practice as a civil and criminal attorney. The primary election for Civil Court Judge will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012.
